Two persons held with Bengal Tiger hide



KAILALI: Two people have been arrested in possession of hide of the Royal Bengal Tiger from Singhasan community forest area at Matkauna of Gauriganga Municipality-7, Kailali district.

Those arrested in this connection are 55-year-old Purna Bahadur Budhamagar of Salgari, Mohanyal rural municipality-5, and Lokesh Sijapati of Lamkichuha Municipality-1 of the district, the District Police Office, Kailali said.

A team of the Sudurpaschim Province Investigation Team arrested them on Tuesday. Police confiscated 10-feet long and 6 feet 7 inches wide tiger hide from them.

The hide was found hidden inside a white plastic sack one of the two men was carrying.

Police is conducting further investigation, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Pratik Bista said.
