Nepal records 2,918 new COVID-19 cases, 53 deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley witnesses 607 fresh COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 2,918 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 2,049 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 869 have been tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 396 persons in Kathmandu, 145 in Lalitpur, and 66 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for the pandemic virus, making the capital valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 607 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 53 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 5147 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
