NEPSE index surpasses 3,000 points

KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange Ltd (NEPSE) has crossed 3,000 points on Monday.

The NEPSE has increased by 42.5 points today.

With today’s increment, th index has reached 3025.83 points.

Shares worth Rs 18.88 billion have been bought and sold during the day.

Out of the 13 groups that traded in Nepse today, the index of seven groups has increased and the index of six groups has decreased. Prices of Nepal Insurance, Khanikhola Hydro, Joshi Hydro, Ghalemdi Hydro, Ngadi Group, CEDB Hydro, Oriental Hotel, Taragaon Regency, Union Hydro, Hydropower Investment, and Development Company, Salty Hotel, and Himalaya Distillery have risen by about 10 percent. Mountain Hydro’s investors fell the most, by 5 percent. Arun Valley’s price fell by 4.7 percent and United Modi’s by 4.4 percent.

Arun Valley topped the list in terms of turnover on this day. The price has gone down after buying and selling 620 million shares of the company.
