ILAM: Police have arrested four people carrying brown sugar from Mai Municipality- 4, Shankar Gaun, Ilam.
A patrol team of Nepal Police deployed under the command of a Sub-Inspector of Police from Police Post Danbari arrested them along with drugs while they were entering Sheetali Bazaar from Birtamod of Jhapa.
Noticing the suspicious activities of the four persons coming on motorcycles, the police conducted a raid and recovered approximately 5 grams of brown sugar from them.
The police seized Province No. 1-013 Pa 7222 and Na 32 Pa 6919 bike used by the convicts.
Among the arrested are Mahesh Thapa, 28, and Kubir Singh Tamang, 30, of Ilam Mai Municipality-8, Rupesh Kumar Khatri, 22, of Mai Municipality-1 and Sudip Kumar Danuwar, 23, of Mai Municipality-3.
The police are investigating further for details.
