JSP Chair Thakur rejects PM Oli’s offer to join government



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli has proposed the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) join the government.

Prime Minister Oli made the proposal to JSP Chairman Mahantha Thakur and senior leader Rajendra Mahato to join the government.

PM Oli, however, has not discussed the offer with Dr. Baburam Bhattarai, Chairman of the JSP Federal Council, and Upendra Yadav, another chairman.

Dr. Bhattarai and Yadav had earlier wanted to oust PM Oli, while Thakur and Mahato had supported PM Oli.

However, a JSP leader said that the party would not join the government without addressing their agenda even if PM Oli has offered the party to join the government.
