KATHMANDU: Former King Gyanendra, who is on a visit to India, has visited the Patanjali Yogpeeth of Yoga Guru Ramdev.

Ramdev welcomed the former king in a car on Tuesday.

Ramdev took to Twitter saying, “King of Nepal Shri Gyanendra Bir Bikram Shah Ji visited Patanjali Yogpeeth today and observed the services.”

He has also posted a picture of the former king with him.

However, some people have objected to Ramdev’s Twitter status for addressing former king Gyanendra as the “King of Nepal”.

“Nepal’s monarchy has been abolished. Do you want to create a storm in Nepal’s politics by calling the former king the current king?”  Upendra Narayan Chowle has commented.

Former King Gyanendra was welcomed at Patanjali Yogpeeth by Ramdev’s aide Acharya Bal Krishna and others.

Former King Shah had earlier participated in the Kumbha Mela held at Haridwar.
