KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has instructed all party leaders and cadres to participate in the protest rallies to be held in all 77 districts, including in Kathmandu on Monday.

The party has decided to organize nationwide protest rallies against the dissolution of the House of Representatives.

Prime Minister KP Oli has dissolved the Parliament on December 20.

Issuing a statement Sunday, Deuba said, “I appeal to all to participate in Monday’s demonstration to make it effective and successful.”

The NC has labeled the Prime Minister’s move as unconstitutional and undemocratic.

Deuba has also appealed to all democrats in the country to express solidarity against unconstitutional and undemocratic steps by participating in Monday’s protests.

Meanwhile, NC President Deuba will participate in the demonstration to be held in Butwal on Monday.
