NC Gen Convention: Voting comes to a close; vote count to start after midnight

Votes of presidential candidates to be counted first at Rastriya Sabhagriha



KATHMANDU: Voting in the Nepali Congress’ (NC) 14th General Convention is coming to a close with voting time ending at 10:30 pm.

Preparations are underway to start counting votes after midnight.

The counting of votes of presidential candidates will be held first at Rastriya Sabhagriha, said NC Election Committee Member Secretary Jagannath Shrestha.

Votes of other central members will be counted in party office in Sanepa.

There are 487 candidates vying for 132 posts of office-bearers of the party’s leadership.

As soon as the voting is over, the ballot boxes will be sealed and taken to the party office.

Counting of votes of central members will start only after the votes of presidential candidates is over.
