UML revives Youth Force Nepal

A rally of around 2,000 vehicles and 3,000 motorcyles to welcome UML Chair Oli to his Balkot residence Wednesday

KATHMANDU: The National Youth Federation Nepal (NYFN), a sister organization of CPN-UML, has revived the formerly dissolved aggressive youth organization known as Youth Force Nepal.

Organizing a press conference in Kathmandu on Tuesday, UML leader Mahesh Basnet, in-charge of the NYFN, informed about the revival of the youth force.

According to him, Kshitiz Thebe and Pushpa Shrestha have been selected as the co-chairs of the outift.

Lawmaker Basnet alleged that the Supreme Court verdict has taken politics in the wrong decision. He also announced a 501-member central command of the Youth Force Nepal. He also said that KP Sharma Oli would be welcomed by 2,000 vehicles and 3,000 motorcycles when arriving at his residence in Balkot on Wednesday.

He also claimed that Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba will not be able to get a vote of confidence within 30 days and that the CPN-UML would form the government again.

As a measure to counter the erstwhile Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) close Young Communist League (YCL) Nepal,  which was relatively of combatant nature, UML had formed Youth Force Nepal in 2008.
