ST PETERSBURG: Belgium set their credentials as one of the tournament favorites as they started their Euro 2020 campaign with a 3-0 win over Russia in their Group B fixture in St Petersburg.
Striker Romelu Lukaku made two goals, continuing his form for Roberto Martinez’s side. It was Lukaku’s 22nd goal in their last 19 games in all the competitions.
Meanwhile, Belgium went to the top of the Group B table after defeating Russia.
Finland, which shocked Denmark, are the 2nd spot.
The Belgians went ahead after 10 minutes through Lukaku and doubled the point before the breakthrough Meunier.
He scored the second of the night two minutes from the end.
