PM Oli appointed again; taking oath at 2:30 pm today



KATHMANDU: President Bidhya Devi Bhandari has re-appointed KP Sharma Oli as the Prime Minister again three days after he lost the PM’s post after losing the vote of confidence in the parliament.

The President re-appointed him Thursday night under Article 76 (3) after no claims were submitted to form a majority government as per Article 76 (2). The President had given till 9 pm Thursday to form a majority coalition government to anyone who could produce majority support. No body went to stake claim.

PM Oli is being re-appointed as he is the parliamentary party leader of the largest party in the parliament, according to Artice 76 (3).

Meanwhile, PM Oli is being sworn in at 2:30 pm Friday at the President’s Office.
