Capt. Rameswor Thapa’s efforts bear fruits

KATHMANDU: Thursday’s talks between Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal ended on a positive note.

Among others, the credit also goes to Captain Rameswor Thapa, who succeeded in bringing both PM Oli and UML senior leader to table talks at his house in Chapali Height on Thursday.

The meeting between PM Oli and Nepal has been crucial since it averted a split in the ruling CPN-UML party.

Captain Thapa, who had also played a role in the constitution-making process, also contributed to unity between the communist parties – UML of late.

The two leaders have decided to move ahead by forming a task force to resolve the disputes within the party.

The two leaders were engaged in talks at the residence of Captain Rameswor Thapa in Chapali Height in the capital on Thursday.
