JSP leaders Thakur, Mahato in Baluwatar to hold talks with PM Oli



KATHMANDU: Janata Samajbadi Party leaders Mahantha Thakur and Rajendra Mahato gave reached Prime Minister’s residence, Baluwatar to hold talks with Prime Minister KP Oli on government formation.

Sources said the two leaders have started talks with PM Oli about the formation of a new government after the opposition parties, including the Nepali Congress, CPN-Maoist Center, and the Upendra Yadav-Babu Ram Bhattarai faction of the JSP failed to garner a majority to form a government.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari has given time to the parties to form a majority government as per Article 76 (2) of the constitution.

That time ends at 9 pm on Thursday.
