Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll reaches 4,466 with 214 new fatalities



KATHMANDU: As many as 214 COVID-19 patients have reportedly succumbed to the coronavirus pandemic in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the new deaths have taken the country’s death toll to 4,466 as of Thursday afternoon.

Meanwhile, Nepal recorded a total of 8,960 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 2,733 persons in Kathmandu, 481 in Lalitpur, and 348 in Bhaktapur have tested positive for the pandemic virus, making the capital valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 3,562 in past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 5,055 persons have returned home after complete health recovery from COVID-19.
