Rastriya Janamorcha to take action against two lawmakers in Gandaki

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Janamorcha (RJ) Chairman Chitra Bahadur KC is inclined to taking action against its Gandaki Province lawmakers.

Issuing a statement Thursday, KC has said action would be taken against lawmakers who refused to follow the party line. “Necessary action will be taken after investigation,” the statement said.

KC had directed lawmakers to support the Nepali Congress (NC) bid to form government in Gandaki.

Two lawmakers Krishna Thapa and Khim Bikram Shahi of the party refused to support the majority of Nepali Congress (NC) in the province Wednesday.

Lacking their support and falling short of majority, the NC’s bid to form a majority government in the province fizzled out Wednesday resulting in re-appointment of former Chief Minister Prithivi Subba Gurung, according to constitutional provision.
