NC Prez Deuba calls office bearers’ meeting



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has called a meeting of party office bearers this afternoon.

NC President Deuba called the meeting after holding talks with Janata Sanajbadi Party Chairman Mahanta Thakur and senior leader Rajendra Mahato at his residence this morning.

The office bearers’ meeting will be held at Deuba’s residence in Budhanilkantha at 4 pm.

Nepali Congress has been taking the initiative to form a government under its leadership.

Meanwhile, it has been learned that the Mahanta-Rajendra faction of the JSP, too, has taken initiative to form a government under its leadership.

A JSP leader said that Thakur and Mahato proposed the idea with Deuba in today’s meeting.
