Oli’s decision to revoke actions against UML leaders a ploy: UML leader Khatiwada

KATHMANDU: Lawmakers of Nepal-Khanal faction of the ruling CPN-UML has dubbed the Standing Committee meeting’s decision to revoke the action against its four leaders as a ploy of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

UML Central member Jagannath Khatiwada said Prime Minister Oli revoked the party’s action against its four leaders in the eleventh hour as a ploy to turn the tables in his favor.

“This decision is not legitimate since it has been taken without fulfilling due procedures,” said Khatiwada.

Khatiwada further said this decision has been taken at a time when the deadline for the formation of a new government is expiring today, smelling a rat on it.

Since the deadline to form a new government expiring today, the Nepal-Khanal faction will also take a proper decision today itself, said Khatiwada, hinting at the faction’s resignation.
