I am not in the race for Prime Minister’s post: Prachanda

KATHMANDU: Scotching speculations about him being in the race of the Prime Minister, Chairman of Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that he has no such ambition at the moment.

Speaking at a book launching program in Kathmandu on Saturday, Chairman Prachanda said that he was not vying for the post of PM as he has already been the Prime Minister twice.

Prachanda reiterated the need for unity among the democratic forces to topple the Prime Minister KP Oli-led government.

“I have been the PM twice, I am not vying for the post now,” he said clarifying his position, “My concern now is how to safeguard the achievements of our past struggles.”
