Province Minster Karki bats for complying with process and system

BIRATNAGAR: Various speakers have argued that the harmonious relationship between the wildlife and human can only enable a good environment.

At a daylong workshop organized by the Biology Society Nepal here today, participants stressed the need to conserve wildlife for keeping the environment clean.

The speakers also noted that the human being should not be an impediment to the free movement of the wildlife.

Inaugurating the workshop by releasing a caged parrot, Province 1 Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law Hikmat Bahadur Karki said Nepal has been tagged as a poor country despite rich in natural resources and means for not governing the country in line with process sand system.

Karki, also the minister for social development, said the process and system are the steps of success so it should not be dismantled.

He also underlined the need to exert efforts towards safeguarding system as it has direct bearing on several other areas.

The researchers undertaking study on biology should also inform the stakeholders about their research and investigations, Minister Karki said.

The Minister also pledged to extend support and cooperation from the province government to further dig out the issues of biology.

He also urged the academia to engage their research efforts so as to provide necessary inputs to the government.

Also speaking on the occasion, vice-chancellor of the Purbanchal University Prof Dr Yadav Raj Koirala said the research and investigation of biology would be more useful for human being.

Among others, Prof Dr Ram Bahadur Thapa, Prof Dr Mahendra Maharjan and Bika Baral said the research and study of biology would also help conserve the wildlife not being limited to human society.

On the same occasion, Prof Dr Ram Bahadur Thapa, Kaluram Rai, Sushil Kumar Jha, Bharat Lal Subba, Shiva Narayan Yadav, Rajendra Prasad Yadav, Meena Kumari Dev and Yogendra Narayan Das were felicitated.
