PM Oli says he can’t prove that Lord Ram was born in Nepal

BUTWAL: Prime Minister KP Oli has said that he cannot prove that Lord Ram was born in Nepal.

A few days ago, NCP Prachanda-Nepal faction Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda had said that before building a Ram temple in Ayodhyapuri, Chitwan, one should prove that Ram was born there.

Laying a foundation stone of the cable car in Butwal today, Prime Minister Oli quipped by saying that he could find the nurse of that time to prove that Ram was born there.

Earlier, addressing a mass assembly organized by his faction of the NCP in Chitwan, Prime Minister Oli had said that that the construction work of the Ram temple at ‘Ram’s birthplace’ has already started.

“The idol of Lord Ram has been already constructed while the idol of Sita is under construction. The idols of Laxman and Hanuman will also be erected”, he had further said, “In the Ram Navami next year, a constellation ceremony would be held a grand manner in Ayodhyapuri, the birthplace of Lord Ram”.

Earlier, PM Oli had stirred a controversy by making a comment about Lord Ram’s birthplace claiming that India has taken to cultural encroachment by ‘creating a fake Ayodhya’.
