Home Minister Thapa warns of armed repression if obstruction created



KATHMANDU: Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa’ Badal’ has warned that the government may resort to armed repression if the reactionary forces obstruct it.

Speaking at a program organized by the Federation of Nepal Trade Unions alligned to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli faction in Kathmandu on the occasion of People’s War Day, Minister Thapa said that the government would have to resort to armed repression if the reactionary class tried to carry out armed attack while advancing the socialist revolution.

He said that there was no need for armed struggle for socialist revolution like yesterday but if the reactionary class tried to obstruct the armed struggle, the government might retaliate against it.
