Oli govt turning autocratic:  Senior NC Leader Poudel

KATHMANDU: Senior Leader of Nepali Congress (NC) Ram Charndara Poudel has pointed out that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is striding towards autocracy one after another.

In his video appeal to make NC’s demonstration in all 77 districts on February 15, Senior Leader Poudel underlined the need to stand united against PM Oli’s regressive move including the dissolution of the House of Representatives(HoR).

“The Oli government is moving towards authoritarianism one after another.” NC Leader Poudel has told in his video appeal, “The activities like dissolving the HoR, introducing various ordinances, etc., indicate that the government is marching towards autocracy.”

He also urged one and all to stand united to safeguard the country, constitution, democracy and inclusiveness.

Stating that the dissolution of the HoR is not a common issue, he requested all to take a strong stand against Oli’s regressive steps to defend democracy and Constitution.
