PM Oli’s ill-intention led to party-split: Prachanda

KATHMANDU: Chairman of the Prachanda-Nepal faction of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” has dismissed claims that the “haste” made during the unification process of the two parties led to party split.

“I urge people not to suspect that the “haste” made during the party unification was the reason for the split,” he said.

“There are other factors, and the major being Prime Minister KP Oli’s ill-intention,” he said.

Addressing a program organized by the Kathmandu District Committee on Wednesday, Dahal held Prime Minister KP Oli responsible for the party unity.

He claimed that the faction led by Prachanda-Nepal was the real NCP since it has been moving ahead abiding by party statute.

Dahal said, “We have been moving forward abiding by all commitments that we had made during the party unity.”

He also came down heavily on PM Oli for exposing his “ill-intention” saying, “PM Oli has been creating a drama. He loves to crack jokes, that’s all.”
