Computer Officer of Revenue Office nabbed red-hand with bribe



KATHMANDU: Commissioner for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has nabbed a computer officer of Balaju branch of Inland Revenue Office with Rs 43,000 taken as bribe from a hotel operator.

According to CIAA sources, Rajan Sharma, the Computer Officer of Inland Revenue Office Balaju has been arrested with the bribe money he had taken from Santosh Thapa Magar, the Proprietor of Timur Kitchen Restaurant, Banasthali, Kathmandu.

“Both Computer Officer of Inland Revenue Office Rajan Sharma and Restaurant Operator Santosh Thapa Magar involved in bribe taking and giving have been taken action,” CIAA spokesperson Ganesh Bahadur Adhikari informed.
