Street festival to be organized in Pokhara from Dec 30



POKHARA: A street festival is to be organized here from this December 30 to New Year’s Day 2022. The festival has the objective of promoting this lake city as a tourism destination in the New Year.

Restaurant and Bar Association of Nepal (REBAN) Pokhara is hosting the festival around the slogan- ‘Promotion of Safe Tourism for Prosperous Society: Today’s Main Need’.

REBAN president Laxman Baral said the street festival is to be organized to promote Pokhara as a major tourism destination in the New Year 22 in a bid to revive the tourism business which has been badly dented by the COVID-19 pandemic.

He added that this festival is a continuation of such festivals which REBAN has been organizing on the eve of the New Year each year. “We are hopeful that the festival will draw the attention to a maximum number of visitors and prompt them to visit Nepal and Pokhara,” he said.

This would be the 23rd edition of the street festival REBAN has organized since 20 years back.
