Sudur Paschim wins National Women’s Kabaddi Competition



DHANUSHA: The Sudur Paschim Province has clinched the title of National Women’s Kabaddi Competition 2078.

In the final match of the competition held in Bateshwor rural municipality of Dhanusha on Saturday, Sudur Paschim won the match by a huge margin of 54-8 points over Lumbini.

In the competition, Bagmati and Gandaki came third. Along with the title, Sudur Paschim won Rs. 150,000 in cash prize while the second and third-placed team won Rs. 50,505 and Rs. 25,505 in cash respectively, along with shield and certificates.

Similarly, Sunita Thapa from Sudurpashchim Player of the Match award while Best Defender award went to Nisha Bohara, also from Sudur Paschim.

Madan Bishwakarma, the coordinator of the competition publicity committee, said that teams from all the seven provinces took part in the competition organized by Bateshwor Rural Municipality and Shiv Shakti Youth Club Bateshwor.
