Students’ unions gherao NOC against petro-price hike



KATHMANDU: Six students’ organizations close to the ruling coalition have picketed the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC), the state oil monopoly, for hiking prices of petroleum products on Friday.

The irate students have reached the NOC’s office at Teku and gheraoed it piling pressures to withdraw the decision.

The students have shouted slogans against the Director General Surendra Paudel calling for an immediate withdrawal of the decision.
