UML PP meeting underway in New Baneshwor

To dwell on its role in parliament



KATHMANDU: A parliamentary party (PP) meeting of the main opposition CPN-UML has started at Lhotse Hall in Federal Parliament building in New Baneshwor.

The meeting which started at 12 noon is discuss how to make the ongoing protest in the parliament dignified and effective, informed UML Publicity Department Chief Yogesh Bhattarai.

UML has been disrupting saying that Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota has played a role in splitting the party.

UML lawmakers protested in the House of Representatives on Friday. A UML lawmaker has said they will keep disrupting the parliament until Speaker Sapkota admits his mistake. They are preparing to disrupt today’s meeting of the House of Representatives, too.

The HoR meeting has been called at 1 pm today.
