KATHMANDU: The government has decided to vaccinate university students above the age of 20 against the coronavirus.

Minister of State for Health and Population Umesh Shrestha tweeted today stating that it has been decided to vaccinate students of the university above 20 years old on the basis of identity cards.

On Monday, five student organizations handed over a memorandum to State Minister Shrestha demanding that students participating in university exams be vaccinated against the coronavirus on the basis of examination admission cards.

According to the Ministry, 60,000 students who are preparing for the exams of Tribhuvan University and other universities will be vaccinated.
