SC fulfilled its historical obligation: JSP Chairman Yadav

KATHMANDU: Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Chairman Upendra Yadav has lauded the reinstatement of the House of Representatives and remarked that the Supreme Court (SC) has fulfilled its historic obligation by reviving the parliament.

Sharing his response to media after the Monday’s SC verdict, JSP Chairman Yadav welcomed the reinstatement and said that SC verdict is in favor of the protection of the constitution and democracy.  “The Supreme Court has fulfilled its historic obligation through this decision,” he said, adding,“Monday’s verdict has clarified some of the points that could be misinterpreted by some ill-intent people.”

JSP Chairman Yadav is one of the key leaders of the opposition alliance formed against Prime Minister KP Oli.

This is the second time supreme court has annulled PM Oli’s attempt to dissolve the parliament.
