UML Standing Committeee meeting underway in Baluwatar

KATHMANDU: The Standing Committee meeting of the UML called at 5 pm at Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar is underway Monday evening.

Press Advisor to Prime Minister Surya Thapa tweeted that the ongoing Standing Committee meeting was centered on devising strategy in the changed political context, meaning a 10-point pact inked by rival factions Sunday and Monday’s Supreme Court verdict against PM KP Oli’s move to dissolve the parliament.

The dispute resolution task force of the party Sunday signed a 10-point resolution that stated that UML would make an institutional decision in line with party rules and regulations on the matter of government and parliament dissolution.

The UML Central Committee meeting is called for Tuesday to endorse the 10-point unity agreement.
