SC verdict has led increased the danger of instability in the country: RPP Chair Thapa

He says Bull delivered a calf in SC today

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairman Kamal Thapa has remarked that the Supreme Court verdict related to the reinstatement of the House of Representatives has led the country towards instability.

“The decision of the Supreme Court to reinstate the parliament has increased the danger of instability in the country,” RPP Chair Thapa said on social media Twitter on Monday.

Citing the lines from former politician and writer Rajeshwor Devkota, Thapa said sarcastically that an ox has delivered a calf in the Supreme Court today.

On its verdict against the President’s dissolution of HoR  at Midnight on May 21, the constitutional bench declared the dissolution unconstitutional and against the spirit and letters of the constitution and restored the parliament.

SC also directed President Bidya Devi Bhandari to appoint Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba, who claimed the support of 146 lawmakers in the parliament, to make the Prime Minister within two days.
