Gurung took wrong path: UML Gandaki lawmaker Sapkota

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Gandaki Province lawmaker Indra Lal Sapkota has said the parliamentary party leader Prithvi Subba Gurung’s move of claiming stake for Chief Minister’s office was wrong.

Province Assembly lawmaker elected from Baglung, Sapkota said Gurung had taken the wrong path. According to him, Gurung, a staunch supporter of federalism, was affected by the center’s disease.

Sapkota added that he had advised Gurung against staking claim on Saturday. He also reminded Gurung that he would be jeopardizing his political future if he did so. Nevertheless, Gurung staked claim.

He clarified other UML leaders that if there was a dissolution, Indra Lal Sapkota would not be in favor of it.
