NC holding office-bearers’ meeting today

To dwell on 14th General Convention



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has called an office-bearers’ meeting on Saturday.

To be held in Budhanilkantha at 2 pm, the meeting will dwell on upcoming 14th General Convention of the party.

The 14th General Convention has to be held as per the constitutional provision in August but the scheduled date is likely to be affected due to coronavirus pandemic. The meeting has been called to take a decision on this issue, said Nepali Congress.

As per the scheduled date, the ward level conclave has to be conducted from mid-June. But, unfortunately, the issue of active memberships has not yet been concluded, which is likely to affect the the scheduled date of the general convention.

The details of around 800,000 active members have been put into data system. The complaints have yet to be called for following the publication.

The NC has proposed to hold its office-bearers’ meeting on August on 23-26.
