JC recommends 18 High Court judges

Nahakul Subedi and Kumar Chudal recommended SC judges



KATHMANDU: The Judicial Council has recommended the name of Dr Kumar Chudal and Nahakul Subedi to the post of justice of Supreme Court.

The meeting held under chairmanship of Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana decided to recommend Dr Chudal, working at High-Court, Patan, and Subedi, working at High Court, Surkhet, for the same.

Similarly, the meeting has also recommended 18 people for the post of judges of High Court, said Council’s Spokesperson, Man Bahadur Karki. Narayan Prasad Poudel and Rishi Rajbhandari have been recommended from officer level of the first class of judicial service.

Deputy Attorney General Poudel has been recommended at High Court Patan while Secretary at the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Rajbhandari, at High Court Pokhara from High Court Patan.

Rameshwor Regmi and Mamata Khanal have been recommended to judge of the High Court from the judicial service first class.

Likewise, the meeting recommended advocates Phurpa Tamang (Rasuwa), Sridhara Kumari Pudasaini (Siraha), Jagadhish Ghimire (Sunsari), Punam Singh Chand (Kanchanpur), Sagar Bista (Kavrepalanchowk), Ganesh Thakur (Siraha) and Nirmala Shakya (Bhaktapur) to judge of the High Court.

Jag Narayan Pradhan, Madhavendra Regmi, Purushottam Prasad Dhakal, Bishnu Subedi, Arjun Prasad Koirala, Amrit Bahadur Basnet and Medini Prasad Poudel have been recommended to district judge.
