UML to convene central committee meeting on March 14



KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has called a meeting of its central committee on March 14.

Secretary-General Ishwor Pokharel has convened the meeting on the advice of party Chairman KP Oli.

Party sources said central members elected from the 9th general convention of the party and the nominated members after that will take part in the meeting.

Prime Minister and Chairman Oli has already initiated consultations with the party leaders on the party’s future strategy and agendas of the meeting.

He has also initiated consultation with the leaders of the CPN (Maoist Center) who have currently sided with him.

The UML leadership will take a proposal to integrate leaders coming from the Maoist Center into various CPN-UML committees.

Prime Minister Oli has called leaders close to him for discussions at Baluwatar on Friday.

Meanwhile, PM Oli has not discussed the party’s future strategy with the Madhav Kumar Nepal faction.
