President greets people on Sonam Lhosar



KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has expressed her best wishes for the happiness, peace, and prosperity of all sisters and brothers at home and abroad on the occasion of Sonam Lhosar to be observed by Tamang community as their New Year.

The President has also wished that the Sonam Lhosar festival inspire all Nepalis to sustain unity, peace, goodwill, and tolerance for making economically, socially, and culturally a prosperous nation.

Such festivals have given a foundation to take pride in our unity in diversity, the President stated in her message of the best wishes.

President Bhandari has stated that such festivals have played crucial roles in promoting our unique cultures, community solidarity, and social goodwill and strengthening our broader national unity.
