Most flights to Tarai areas affected due to fog for past two days



KATHMANDU: Flights from Tribhuvan International Airport to the various districts in Tarai and remote areas have been affected due to thick fog.

The flights towards Biratnagar, Bhadrapur, Janakpur, Simara, Bhairahawa, and Nepalgunj, among others, have been affected for the past two days.

Though domestic flights have been affected due to thick fog, international flights are operating as usual, according to the Airport office.

Spokesperson of Tribhuvan International Airport, Dev Chandra Lal Karna, said that unfavorable weather has disrupted flights towards the most destination of Tarai.

He shared that out of 88 flights towards Tarai and hilly areas on Monday, 40 flights were canceled.
