Kathmandu Valley registers 259 fresh COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: As many as 259 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 221cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 9 in Bhaktapur, and 29 in Lalitpur.

Meanwhile, the country recorded a total of 430 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the coronavirus tally reached 265,698 in the country as of Tuesday afternoon.

Likewise, the Ministry shared that now the country has 4,408 reported active cases of the virus.

In the past 24 hours, altogether 390 infected people got recovery from the virus infection. So far, 259,358 people recovered from the coronavirus infection in the country.

Similarly, five persons succumbed to the virus across the country in the past 24 hours, hitting the total COVID-19 related deaths to 1,932.
