Home Minister Thapa directs APF to prepare for mid-term polls

KATHMANDU: Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa has directed the Armed Police Force (APF) to make preparations for the mid-term polls to be held in April-May.

Minister Thapa, during a meeting with recently promoted police officers of the APF at the Home Ministry on Tuesday, directed them to get prepared for the upcoming elections.

“Get prepared for holding mid-term polls in a free, fair and impartial manner,” said Thapa, adding, “The ministry will provide all the logistics required for holding the elections.”

Appreciating the roles of the APF in the peace, border security and disaster management, Thapa directed the police officials to execute their works as per the improved work-plan introduced by the ministry.
