60-yr-old killed in Bhutanese refugee camp fire



BIRTAMOD: A sexagenarian man has died in a fire that broke out in the Bhutanese refugee camp based at Beldangi in Damak municipality of Jhapa.

A 60-year-old Desh Man Rai died in the fire that broke out in a hut under Sector D-4 on Monday evening.

Paralysis-ridden Rai was sleeping when the hut caught fire, said District Police Office, Jhapa.

The fire destroyed one tola of gold, 10 tolas of silver, Rs 300,000 in cash, clothes and utensils, said DSP Rakesh Thapa of DPO, Jhapa.
