Veep Nidhi files nomination for NC president

Nidhi's panel includes Dibyashwori Sah as vice president candidate and Rajaram Karki as general secretary

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) Vice President Bimalendra Nidhi has registered his nomination for the post of party President in the 14th General Convention.

Nidhi filed his candidacy by reaching the office of the NC Election Committee at Bhrikutimanda on Saturday afternoon.

Divyeshwori Shah and Rajaram Karki have registered their candidacies for the post of vice president and general secretary respectively from Nidhi’s panel.

Nidhi had urged NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba to support his bid for president in the 14th General Convention after having worked with the latter for 25 years.

However, when Deuba said he would run for NC presidency again, Nidhi filed his candidacy separately.
