CPN-UML holding central committee meeting today



KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML central committee (CC) meeting is scheduled to be held in Bhaktapur today.

The second central committee meeting after the 10th national congress of the UML will be held at 1:00 pm today at Gatthaghar in Bhaktapur.

A total of 15 agendas will be discussed in the meeting, according to Secretary at the UML Central Office Sher Bahadur Tamang. Swearing-in of the remaining central members, review of the national congress, nomination of members in the central committee, formation of politburo, formation of standing committee, formation of central advisory council, division of portfolio and nomination of vacant office bearers in the provinces feature in the agenda of the meeting.

The agenda of the meeting also includes setting the date of UML’s district and provincial conventions, amending the statute and the rules and regulations, meeting procedures, central office management, message of the national congress and party entry campaign, setting priorities and strengthening the people’s organization.

The meeting of the Central Committee will follow the secretariat meeting to be held at the residence of Chair KP Sharma Oli in Balkot, said Tamang. The secretariat meeting is going to discuss the agenda to be taken to the central committee.
