NC delegation returns home after concluding five-day visit to India



KATHMANDU: A delegation of the Nepali Congress (NC) has returned home after wrapping up a five-day visit to India on Monday.

The NC delegation led by Joint General Secretary Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat and comprising leaders Udaya Shumsher Rana and Ajaya Kumar Chaurasiya had left for India last Thursday at the invitation of India’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The visit aimed to better relations between the ruling parties of the two countries.

The team had a meeting with BJP national President JP Nadda in New Delhi on Thursday morning. During the meeting, BJP’s Foreign Affairs Department Chief Vijay Chauthaiwale and leader Dr. Ashwin Johar were also present.

In the course of their five-day visit, the delegation also called on Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar and Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath, among others.

NC visiting delegation said relations between the two countries were reviewed and border issues were discussed during meetings held with BJP leaders during the visit.
