Gandaki lawmaker Dobate Bishwokarma appointed as Minister



KATHMANDU: Gandaki Province lawmaker, Dobate Bishwokarma, a Nepali Congress (NC) lawmaker formerly promised but later defied the post of Minister has been appointed as Minister in Gandaki Province.

According to sources, lawmaker Bishwokarma, has been called for a swearing-in ceremony to take place in Pokhara at 5 PM this evening.

Chief Minister Krishna Chandra Nepali Pokhrel had been widely criticized for picking Bindu Kumar Thapa as Minister despite promising to appoint Dobate as a Minister.

Bishwokarma is coming to Pokhara for swear-in ceremony.

“Yes, the Chief Minister has called me to Pokhara for swearing-in. I am going to Pokhara for a swear-in ceremony.

The source claimed that Prime Minister and NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba made CM Nepali appoint Minister.

According to sources in the Chief Minister’s Office, Dobate is currently being made a non-departmental minister.
