Ex-PM Bhattarai for resolving landless problems in a sustainable manner

CHITWAN: Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal’s Federal Council Chair Dr Baburam Bhattarai said the problem related to landless squatters should be resolved in a sustainable manner.

Talking to media here today, former Prime Minister Dr Bhattarai said the government should seriously work to identify genuine landless people and resolve their problems in a sustainable manner.

“Problem emerges when there is no clear government policy in resolving the problems related to landless squatters”, he added.
Dubbing the incident that took place at Motipur industrial corridor in Butwal on Sunday wrong, he said the government should lay emphasis on resolving the landless problems.

“Let us identify genuine landless people. Merely dispersing the people with the use of force would not explore solution”, Dr Bhattarai further said.

On another note, former PM Dr Bhattarai said that the incumbent government should perform in a different fashion than the previous one that worked to reverse the hard-earned achievements of federal democratic republic country.

“People would be frustrated if the incumbent does not perform differently”, the former prime minister added.
As the incumbent government was formed against the regression it should complete the full term, Dr Bhattarai said.
