UML finalizes delegates for Statute Convention



KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has made a decision regarding the delegates to participate in the Statute Convention.

A meeting of the Standing Committee (SC) Saturday made a final decision to have about 3,000 delegates in the Statute Convention.

After the meeting, UML Publicity Department Chief Yogesh Bhattarai said that they unanimously decided participants of the Statute Convention to be held on October 1-3.

List of delegates to participate in the Statute Convention

  1. Office bearers and members of the Central Committee
  2. Office bearers and members of the Disciplinary Commission
  3. Office bearers and members of the Audit Commission
  4. Office bearers and members of the Election Commission
  5. 15 members, including the secretary, of the Central Department
  6. Office bearers and members of the Advisory Council
  7. Office bearers and members of the Senior Communist Forum
  8. Office bearers and members of provincial and similar committees
  9. Office bearers and members of the special committee
  10. Office bearers and members of District committee
  11. Women, Dalit from the constituency and one open member
  12. 10 among office bearers of people’s organization
  13. Members of the Federal Parliament who have UML memberships
  14. State assembly members who are party members
  15. Chiefs and deputy chiefs elected from UML at local levels
  16. 10 percent of members to be nominated among those left out from party unity and other places
