Khanal-Nepal faction to abstain Chairman Oli convened SC meet

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML’s Khanal-Nepal faction has decided not to attend the party’s standing committee (SC) meeting convened unilaterally by Prime Minister and party Chairman KP Oli for Sunday 4 PM.

A member of the standing committee of Khanal-Nepal faction informed that the leaders of Khanal-Nepal faction will abstain the meeting called by PM Oli without consulting them.

Chairman Oli has called a meeting of the standing committee as the task force formed to resolve the party dispute has come close to an agreement.

UML’s central office secretary Sher Bahadur Tamang had sent invitation to SC members including senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal.
