Over 27.7 million recover from COVID-19 in India

NEW DELHI: The COVID-19 infection cases in the southern neighbor India have declined significantly, of late.

India recorded 91,266 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the caseload to 29,273,338.

Earlier, the daily infection cases had reached up to 400,000.

Currently, 1,131,347 are undergoing treatment at various isolation centers and hospitals. Meanwhile, 27,778,894 have returned home after treatment.

Similarly, the number of deaths from the coronavirus in India has crossed the 363,000-mark.

With 3,402 deaths in a single day, the number of deaths from the virus has reached 363,097, according to the latest figures collated by the Worldometers.

Broken out in Wuhan City of China in December 2019, the coronavirus has killed 3,787,930 and infected 175,593,623 globally until the filing of this news.
