UML second-rung leaders render last-resort efforts to resolve intra-party feud

KATHMANDU: The second-rung leaders have intensified meetings to find a negotiation point after the intra-party feud of the ruling CPN-UML further escalated further.

The second-rung leaders have been dwelling on various proposals and options after the heavyweights stick to their guns.

UML has been on the brink of collapse due to the dispute especially between party chairman KP Sharma Oli and former General Secretary and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal.

The dispute cropped up at the center has now reached the provincial to the local level which ultimately will affect the party and the top leaders.

Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel has informed that the last-resort efforts are being rendered to resolve the intra-party feud.

All the party rank and file are in favor of the party unification and those who tend to split the party will be sidelined, said Paudel.
